Laura only learned to swim when she was 24 and discovered her passion for triathlon by chance. The foundation for her success was established in her youth with cycling on the way to school. With initial success in triathlon, it quickly became clear that she wanted to put everything into the sport. Laura learned to swim and started working with a coach. Over the years Laura transitioned from sprint triathalon to the Ironman distance. Since 2016 has been a full-time professional athlete. Her first LD was IM Barcelona 2018, which she won in the fastest debut time ever (8:34:52). Since then, her main focus has been on the Ironman distance, where she currently hold both world best times.
