NewSR Tri Men Mid

  • Peak performance thanks to the Power Position Mid: more speed on the bike and the run
  • Less muscle fatigue and higher performance from targeted ergonomic relief
  • Project TRI: over three years of development in collaboration with the world's fastest triathletes
Deliver your power to the road and don’t slow down for pain or fatigue. The right saddle for your riding position is the key to your top performance. Exactly the reason why our SR Tri saddles were developed in collaboration with World class triathletes like 3X Ironman Hawaii winner Jan Frodeno – to create the highest performing triathlon saddles for men and women. Our revolutionary Power Position system creates a saddle for riders that position themselves either on the middle or the front of the saddle –because not every triathlete sits on the bike the same way. From the middle Ergonomics for the Power Position Mid

The SR Tri Men Mid is designed for triathletes who tilt their pelvis less aggressively in the aero position and place their center of gravity in the middle of the saddle. This means you need a narrow and longer saddle nose compared to riders who prefer the front position.

Y-shape for relief and performance Power in the Middle

Due to the more upright pelvic posture in the Mid-position, a narrow and longer nose is required for optimum freedom of movement. This Y-shaped profile effectively prevents back muscle fatigue and combined with the ergonomic padding and relief channel ensures optimum protection of the sensitive genital area.

Project TRI - 3 years of research The right power position

With Project TRI, Ergon specialists and renowned triathletes worked for three years to develop the best triathlon saddle. The result: not all riders sit in the same position on the saddle. The lower the aero position, the further forward the rider sits and requires a different saddle shape.

Developed with top triathletes The GOAT rides mid-position

Renowned triathletes were involved in the development of the SR Tri, including Imogen Simmonds and Jan Stratmann (Power Position Front) as well as Laura Philip and triathlon legend Jan Frodeno, who both ride in the Power Position Mid.

Easy setup and adjustment The BMR line - the line for optimum fitting

The BioMechanical Reference line (BMR line) is marked on the saddle surface of all SR Tri saddles. This shows the meridian of the saddle – the point at which the saddle is exactly 75 millimeters wide. The BMR line is a reference point for the correct fitting of height, fore/aft position, inclination and the correct saddle nose distance. The BMR line is also an important reference point for precise adjustment using our Fittingbox Road.

SR Tri: Made in Europe High quality that’s highly sustainable

The SR Tri Men saddle is Made in Europe! This guarantees the best material quality and manufacturing while shortening supply chains, reducing production waste and complying to European recycling standards. This means your new saddle is good for you and the environment!

Firm padding tuned for optimum riding comfort

The resilient Orthopedic Comfort Foam is precisely shaped for the demanding requirements of triathlon: the perfect blend of firm support for maximum power transmission and ergonomic relief for enhanced comfort – even during long-distance exertion.

High performance with room to move

With its Y-shape and narrow, shorter nose, the SR Tri Men Mid offers added room for optimum pedaling ergonomics. The extended freedom of movement ensures improved pressure distribution and relief of the sensitive perineal area, especially on long rides in the aero position. In addition, the back muscles are sustainably relieved, which prevents pain and fatigue. This also enables a more efficient transition to the running segment of the triathlon.

Less pain and less strain

High pressure exerted on the sensitive perineal area in an aggressive aero position reduces blood flow to the genital area, which at best can lead to feelings of numbness and at worst to erectile dysfunction. This is why the relief channel on the SR Tri Men is particularly pronounced. The extra-wide and deep channel reduces pressure on the sensitive genital area – allowing the riders weight to be supported on the sit bones.
