Just like our Ergon athletes, our ergonomic products compete at the highest level. 2025 brought another round of awards, test victories, and top ratings from the media—and not just from cycling publications, but also from mainstream consumer outlets like ARD and WDR Marktcheck, the consumer watchdog program.

"Beyond better is just beyond better!"

While we value praise from trade magazine editors, the most honest feedback comes from those who use our products daily — our customers. That's why it means so much to us when our bike saddles, bike grips, backpacks, and more are recognized in large-scale reader surveys conducted by leading print and online magazines.

The readers of Enduro Mountainbike Magazine and E-MOUNTAINBIKE Magazine once again honored Ergon in 2025 with one of the most prestigious awards in the international mountain bike scene – "Best Brand" in the "Saddles International" category. And this marks the seventh consecutive year we've received this recognition!

About 30,000 mountain bikers from around the world participated in the survey and once again voted Ergon as the most popular saddle brand globally. A result that makes us proud – and also shows how strong the connection between brand, product, and community really is. For us, this award is both an inspiration and a promise to continue investing consistently in ergonomics, innovation, and quality.

We also took the top spot in reader polls from other major publications.

In the User Awards from MTB-News.de and EMTB-News.de, our grips once again took first place in 2025, while our saddles secured second place in both. At the sister publication Nimms-Rad.de, Ergon saddles finished in third place — grips were not included in that survey.

Our Conclusion

Whether in tough racing, long tours, or daily riding – Ergon provides noticeable comfort, smart ergonomics, and products that cyclists rely on. And that trust is our biggest reward.

Additional Test Results

SMS Comp Men

"The idea behind the new SMS Comp works well. Even during long climbs, no uncomfortable pressure builds up in the perineal area – that's where the large cutout truly helps. The slightly shorter saddle nose also posed no problems on steeper ascents." (bike-magazin.de 10/06/25)

"Even on long rides, you stay comfortable without experiencing numbness in sensitive areas. Its compact design and Y-shape also perform well on descents and don't limit your freedom of movement going up or down." (MTB-News.de 10/21/25)

"The Ergon SMC Comp Men also receives high praise on Amazon, with an average of 4.6 out of 5 stars. Many users commend the seat's high comfort and noticeable pressure relief.
