Endless pressure mapping research revealed where painful pressure peaks occur and drove our pursuit to mimimize them at all costs. The results of our innovative relief concept lead to our new SMS series saddles.
We’ve minimized the pressure peaks in critical areas of the perineum and sit bones by using a slightly curved contact surface and by enlarging the ergonomic relief channel.
Compact riding position = Compact saddle design
To take the pressure off women and men trail riders, we took a closer look at evolving mountain bike geometries. We discovered a more compact riding position driven by steeper frame angles – requiring a modern relief concept to provide comfort and performance for a more upright riding posture.

Pressure relief in every detail
Relieving pressure begins with what you take away. The women's and men's relief channels are positioned and shaped to precisely fit the anatomy of the rider. The wide deep channels minimize pressure, numbness and pain before it even begins.
The shorter, flatter saddle nose provides support when moving to the front on steep climbs and stays out of the way when adjusting your body position to go with the flow.
A subtle curved contact surface allows the pelvis to sit deeper within the saddle for comfortable, uniform pressure distribution and total support of the sit bones.
OrthoCell® foam padding and Gel inserts (on women's models) cancel pressure peaks while supporting your moves on fast singletrack or all-day adventures.
The compact ergonomic saddle features a gently curving Y-shape and large side radius to improve inner thigh clearance for smoother pedaling efficiency and room to move on challenging trails.
