SRS Pro Women

  • Developed by women for women
  • Compact shape prevents pressure, pain and numbness
  • New Reactive Performance Foam padding
The SRS Pro Women makes high-performance comfort more affordable: utilizing the same Reactive Performance Foam technology as our top model, along with ergonomic comfort features like a wider leg radius for increased leg mobility and larger relief channel to relieve the sensitive female soft tissue area. The composite supportive shell of the SRS Pro Women rests on equally lightweight TiNox SL rails. With its excellent pressure distribution, effective relief of the female anatomy and increased inner thigh and leg mobility, the compact SRS is perfect for modern endurance road or gravel bikes and female riders who prefer a more relaxed, upright body position. The slightly wider leg radius also contributes to reducing pressure and friction on the inner thighs for even more leg mobility and comfort.

Ergonomie

Developed by women for women

Ergon's ergonomics specialists have completely reworked women's saddles from scratch and to the smallest detail. Utilizing X-ray and CT scans as well as cutting edge technology – we’ve created a new generation of women’s ergonomic saddles for gravel and road. Countless prototypes have been produced, and hundreds of hours of testing by professional and amateur riders have gone into the development of this saddle – so you can enjoy a beyond better ride.

The flexible, female pelvis

Women are much more flexible in the hips than men. In the typical riding position on road and all-road bikes, a women’s pelvis frequently tilts more forward. This can often create considerable pressure in the genital area. With a wider relief channel positioned more forward on the SRS Pro Women, pressure is directed away from the sensitive genital area onto the supportive sit bone area of the saddle where the innovative Reactive Performance foam absorbs the pressure peaks to deliver enhanced support and comfort.

Special relief for the pubic symphysis

Due to anatomical reasons, the pubic symphysis – the front cartilage connection between the two halves of the pelvis – is approximately a quarter lower in women than in men. The angle between the pubic bones is also greater in women. These anatomical factors were accounted for in the development of the SRS Pro Women to guarantee a natural sitting position and ergonomic comfort.

Protection for the sensitive genital area

Saddles that are not ergonomically designed specifically for women’s anatomy can produce uncomfortable pressure and pain in the genital area. The SRS Pro Women is specially designed to protect this sensitive area: the forward positioned relief opening prevents discomfort, numbness and pain by effectively transferring pressure to the supportive sit bones.

The right saddle size

The shape and size of a saddle's surface must match the cyclist's sit bone width for the best comfort and support. As the pelvic bones taper forward in a V-shape, an ergonomic saddle must support the sit bones comfortably in varying riding positions. For a better personalized fit and a comfortable ride, Ergon offers the SRS Pro Women in two sizes (S/M and M/L).

COMPACT ERGONOMIC SHAPE Enhanced legroom for less pedaling friction and reduced pressure

The SRS Pro Women’s compact ergonomic shape, pressure relieving surface and wider inner leg radius has been designed for the more relaxed riding position used on modern endurance racing bikes. This reduces saddle edge pressure on the inner thigh for less pedaling friction, more leg mobility, and increased blood circulation. The position and shape of the relief channel have also been optimized for the saddle’s compact shape. Although shorter in length, the SRS Pro Women offers maximum relief in the perineal and genital areas of women with an ergonomically optimized surface designed to evenly distribute pressure for enhanced comfort and support. Additionally, it prevents nerves aside the saddle from receiving too much pressure, which may cause cold or numb feet.

CUSTOMIZED RELIEF We take the pressure off women

Intensive measurements and feedback evaluation from test riders led us to extend the relief channel of the SRS Pro Women further towards the saddle nose. This recess is specially shaped and positioned for a women’s anatomy to remove pressure from the genital area in a typical riding position and when the rider's pelvis tilts further forward in an aero position. The rider’s weight is always comfortably supported on the sit bones – never on the very sensitive genital area.

SMART HIGH-TECH COMFORT Reactive Performance Foam cushions and supports

A high-tech performance/comfort foam: Ergon's new Reactive Performance Foam is softer yet supportive at the same time, with progressive damping and energy return. This means the support of the foam increases with compression, responding to vibrations and small impacts, yet prevents the pelvic sit bones from sinking too far, which would be painful and reduce pedaling efficiency. The high energy return of the foam actually assists the pelvis in returning to its original position during the pedaling cycle to help you feel fresher longer. The progressive damping and ergonomic compact shape also ensure an even distribution of pressure on the saddle for a comfortable ride mile after mile.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND SUPPORTIVE Lightweight TiNox SL rails

The TiNox SL rails on the SRS Pro Women have significantly thinner walls than Ergon's standard models with equal durability. The high-quality pair of rails saves additional weight at a high center of gravity – not only making your bike lighter overall but also improving its handling.

MOST PRECISE SADDLE FITTING The BMR line helps you find the best saddle position

The biomechanical reference line (BMR line) is marked on the SRS Pro Women for convenience when installing or adjusting the saddle position. The BMR line is the point at which the saddle is exactly 75 millimeters wide. Once a rider has found the optimal seating position or during a bike fitting process, the BMR line becomes an important reference for the precise adjustment of saddle height, setback and angle. Our Fitting Box Road/Gravel also uses the BMR line as an important reference point.
