Our World Cup grip for tackling punishing terrain: The GDH FAT is the thickest version of our successful downhill grip. With an ergonomic asymmetrical shape, it delivers maximum cushioning on the palms. The top side of the grip has significantly more rubber than the underside fingertip area. This extra layer of our GravityControl rubber compound absorbs big impacts and vibrations more effectively and lives up to the FAT moniker. The GDH FAT is the perfect grip for demanding courses, trails and drops and also for riders with larger hands who want a softer and larger overall grip diameter.

More rubber thickness equals maximum cushioning

The GDH FAT increases the rubber thickness between the palm and handlebars to the max for extra cushioning and comfort, secure grip and bike control. The cushioning elements and rubber remain the same as the original GDH – only much thicker. Big impacts to the palms and arms are softened and vibrations virtually eliminated. Riders with larger hands often feel more comfortable and confident with the GDH FAT due to its larger overall circumference.

The ergonomic shape of the GDH FAT was designed in close collaboration with the fastest gravity athletes to minimize hand fatigue while enhancing control at speed on demanding terrain. Arm pump, pain and loss of strength in the hands and forearms due to excess pressure on the muscle tissue and fascia is reduced to the minimum with extra cushioning.

Multi-directional cushioning

The multi-level, multi-directional texture blocks on the grip’s top side provide unparalleled cushioning with maximum control. The interlocking texture structure prevents collapsing under pressure and delivers progressive cushioning that is comfortably soft yet does not bottom out under heavier hits. The asymmetrical design provides extra cushioning in the GDH FAT version with significantly more rubber on the top side of the grip compared to the underside.

Finger zones for maximum grip

The aggressive finger zones on the underside of the grip maximize handling and grip in the most intense riding situations. The four individual finger zones are angled to match the hand and arm positions of the racer – ensuring a tenacious grip on demanding trails.

Inner and outer stops keep you locked-in to win!

The integrated ergonomic outer stop of the GDH FAT delivers a locked-in hand feel and positions the outer edge of the hand perfectly in rapidly changing extreme conditions. The inner stop is an intuitive reference for the inner side of the hand and is designed to allow precise shifting and braking. You’ll grasp or your handlebars quickly and correctly every time.
